My World Tuesday

Fachwerk - Framework
I start with somthing typical for the region I was born.
Houses with traditionel framework are part of my life and I love them.
Zum Beginn traditionelles Fachwerk aus meiner Geburtsregion der Soester Börde.

Cities in the region were members of the Hanse . The Hanse controlled trading about 500 years in more than 250 towns in northern Europe.
In mehr als 250 Städten im nördlichen Europa beherrschte die Hanse den Handel für ca. 500 Jahre.

The Hanseatic League was a powerful trdinf alliance in it's day, just like later on the British Empire was, but all things pass.

I spent a year and a half in Germany (in Giebelstadt, near Wurzburg) and had the time of my life visiting from town to town... Being in the Army was no fun (I was drafted) but Germany was a blast...
