B is for bottle and ship in a bottle.
Bottles we use every day.
B steht für bottle - Flasche und ship in a bottle - Flaschenschiff.
Manchmal findet man eine besondere Flasche oder etwas
Besonders in der Flasche, eine Nachricht oder ein Schiff.
Sometimes you can find a special bottle or something
special in bottle, may be a message or a ship.
These bottles you can find in the
Bottle-Ship Museum Ærøskøbing,Ærø,Denmark
This is my oldest bottle, may be from 1700,
found in Netherland.
Meine älteste Flasche, vielleicht 1700, gefunden in Holland.

The one with the paper ship I liked the most, although I can appreciate the work that has gone into the other ones. And it doesn't surprise me of course that the absolutely beautiful very old bottle comes from the Netherlands ;-)
Sometimes, there is Jeanie in a Bottle..
Great picture, thanks for sharing.
Flotte flasker:) Må være litt av en jobb å få disse skipene inn i flaskene...
I always wondered how they got those ships into the bottles. I have been told that the masts are laid down when they put it in and that the masts are raised afterwards aided by thin threads through the opening.
I have one that I inherited from my mother.
Ha en God Kveld!
What an interesting collection! I wonder who first thought of putting ships in bottles!
Great collection, and your photos of the collection are superb.

I can't imagine what patience it takes

It is amazing to think about all the hours it takes to build one of these. I was especially fond of the one with the paper ship.
Flaskeskip er fasinerende, ja. For et pirkarbeid :) Flott B-post :)

Bottled beauty. Rune is right about how they are done/
I always wondered how they manage to build them inside the bottle. Neat entry..
I like bottle too, so many shapes and colours. I'd love to find a message in one!
I can remember when I was younger my father had several of these boat in the bottles.
You know.. up until now, I still don't know how they do that.
My "B" entry is posted here and here. Hope you'll take a look as well. Thanks!
Nice topic. I've often wondered how the first ship ended up in a bottle.
People who build ships for inside bottles have so much patience!

Herr M, dem gerade die "B´s" ausgehen.
Love your antique bottle. Its fun to have something special like that. I am fascinated by the ships in bottles. Great shots.
Bottle number one is great and so is the reflection on that photo.
These are beautiful. I love the last bottle - lovely!
I'm also here on behalf of the ABC Team to thank you for posting.
